| Scholarship and Discount Programs Our mission is to provide extraordinary camping experiences for youth and to be a valued resource to youth, families, 4-H, schools, groups, and organizations throughout the region. In trying to keep with this mission we try very hard to offer financial assistance to those families that are in need. We offer discounts related to registration dates, the number of children within a family, for 4-H members as well as a few other programs. We also offer a limited number of scholarships to families that can not afford to send their children. Below you will find an explanation of these programs. | Discounts Early Registration Discount Campers registered by December 31 of the prior year receive a $50 discount towards camp. For the 2008 camping season, this discount was extended to January 31, 2008. Can only be received by a camper once each year. When registering online, this discount will apply automatically if applicable. Early Registration Discount Campers registered by April 15 of the current year receive a $25 discount towards camp. Can only be received by a camper once each year. When registering online, this discount will apply automatically if applicable. New Camper Discount Campers who have never attended 4-H Camp Kidwell before receive a $25 discount towards camp. Can only be received by a camper once each year. This discount must be manually applied when registering online. Sibling Discount Each child after the first registered camper in a family receives a $10 discount towards camp. Can only be received by a camper once each year . When registering online, this discount will apply automatically if applicable. Additional Week Discount Each camper receives a $50 discount for any week attended after the first week of camp. Can be received by a camper more than once each year. When registering online, this discount will apply automatically if applicable. Allegan County 4-H Discount Campers who are current, registered member of the 4-H program in Allegan County receive a $100 discount. When registering online, please enter the following code to apply this discount, 4HSCH08. If registering through the mail, please write the code on the form near the discount section. Can only be received by a camper once each year. State Wide 4-H Discount Campers who are current, registered member of the 4-H program in any county in the state of Michigan, other than Allegan receive a $50 discount. Please enter the following code at the time of registering to apply this discount, SW4HDIS. If registering through the mail, please write the code on the form near the discount section. Can only be received by a camper once each year. |
| Scholarships General Scholarship Although we accept applications for assistance throughout the entire year, we do not distribute scholarships until late April or early May each year. Our program follows the financial guidelines of the schools free and reduced lunches program. If a family qualifies for free lunch they are eligible for a full scholarship or if they qualify for a reduced lunch they are eligible for a 1/2 scholarship. The number of scholarships handed out each year is based on amount of funding we have raised and is handed out on a first come first served basis. If you are interested in scholarship assistance, please complete a registration form and application for scholarship assistance. Please download from the links below. When both forms are complete, please return them to 4-H Camp Kidwell, 39000 1st Ave, Bloomingdale, MI 49026.
