Discount and Scholarship Information

Financial Assistance Programs

Our mission is to provide extraordinary camping experiences for youth and to be a valued resource to youth, families, 4-H, schools, groups, and organizations throughout the region. In trying to keep with this mission we work very hard to offer financial assistance to those families that are in need. We offer discounts related to registration dates, the number of children within a family, 4-H memberships as well as other programs. We also offer a limited number of scholarships to families that can not afford to send their children. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions. Click here to send us an email.

Scholarship Program

We offer a scholarship program to families in financial need on a first come, first served basis. To determine eligibility you will need to provide financial information for your family. Each family will need to provide ONLY one application form per family, as all children who want to attend camp will be included on that form. Our funding comes from a variety of places and comes in at different times of the year. Applications are reviewed and notification of eligibility is made at the end of each month. If you qualify for a scholarship you will be given a code and can register online. If prefer to use a hard copy, we can send you a hard copy form as well. Discount Programs

Discounts are designed to reward families for registering early, attending camper expos, having multiple children, or attending multiple weeks. Making camp affordable is really important to us, so we try very hard to offer opportunities for all families to take part in. We do have limits on which discounts can be combined, so please be sure to read the details that are listed below. If you have questions please feel to contact us. Discounts, scholarships, and gift certificates cannot be used to pay for camp store purchases or add-on items. Discounts must be applied at the time of registration and cannot be applied retroactively.

Level #1 Discounts

These items are open anyone who takes part in the specific fundraiser, purchases/wins a gift certificate, or meets the criteria specified. These can be combined with other discounts.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are given out at events, or donated for auctions and other events to help other organizations early money. They should have codes included with them. When registering, please enter your code and it will apply automatically.

Festival of Trees Fundraiser
This discount is earned when a family or camper participates in our Wreath and Poinsettia Fundraiser. All funds earned will be kept in an account for you and applied to your account internally by our staff. Funds must be used for the camping season following the fundraiser. Spring Flower Sale Fundraiser
This discount is earned when a family or camper participates in our Spring Flower Fundraiser. All funds earned will be kept in an account for you and applied to your account internally by our staff. Funds must be used for the camping season following the fundraiser. If you would like to participate in the future, please contact us!

Level #2 Discounts

These items apply to anyone who meets the specified criteria.

1st Time Camper Discount
Campers receive a $25 discount for their first ever week they attend a session of camp at 4-H Camp Kidwell. Discount can only be applied once per camper.

Sibling Discount
Families who have multiple children that attend 4-H Camp Kidwell in the same season will receive a $25 discount. Discount can only be applied once per family per season.

Additional Week Discount
Campers receive a $50 discount for attending two or more weeks in the same season. This discount does not apply for their first week. Discount cannot be combined with other discounts. This is the only discount(other than level #1) that can be applied to any week after a camper first.

4-H Member Discount
All campers who are active 4-H Members will receive a $50 discount. 4-H Members need to provide name and club. Discount can only be applied with a code. To get this code ask your 4-H leader or contact the 4-H Office in your county. This can only be applied once per camper per season. It CANNOT be combined with the Military Family Discount.

Military Family Discount
All campers with an active duty military family member will receive a $50 discount. Military members must provide verification of active duty status. Please call to get a code to apply this discount. Discount can only be applied once per camper per season. CANNOT be combined with the 4-H Member Discount.

Level #3 Discounts

These items apply to anyone who meets specific criteria. The discounts can be combined with Level #1 or #2 but not together with each other. Discounts will apply to your account automatically if you qualify. They can an only be applied once per camper per season.

Early Registration Discount
Campers registered by February 28, receive a $50 discount. Discount will apply automatically through online registration if applicable.

Registration Discount
Campers registered between March 1 and April 15 of the current year receive a $25 discount. Discount will apply automatically through online registration if applicable.

Print Ad Discount
Throughout the year we offer various other discounts. These discounts are applied with specific codes that are given out at events or advertisements. Please visit us at any of the many expos and programs we attend or look for these additional discounts. Print Ad discounts must be applied at the time of registration. Only one print ad discount can be applied and they can only be applied once per camper per season.
