4-H Camp Kidwell has day camp programs for children of all ages. As always, our goal is to provide children with an extraordinary camping experience and give them the chance to grow as individuals. Whether your child is a little young to spend the night at camp or they you are to busy to be away from home for an entire week, we have a great opportunity for them. Day campers are able to participate in all the amazing activities resident campers do as well as enjoy the same fun moments. They get all of those great benefits and are able to go home to the comfort of their family and home each night. Below you will find descriptions of the activities that make up our programs, as well as specific descriptions of the day camp programs that we offer! Please don't be afraid to ask questions, as we are more than happy to help. Traditional Camp Activities (TCAs) Established in 1949, our programs are rich in tradition. Campers are able to participate in traditional camp activities (TCAs) including swimming, horseback riding, archery, arts and crafts, nature exploration, ropes course activities, canoing, acting, sports, and much more. These activities are the backbone of our program and allow campers to experience fun and excitement while growing as individuals. The TCAs are main focus of each week, but they are modified to fit the weekly theme. |

| Little Explorers Day Camps Ages: 5-7 * $200 Wet & Wild Day Camp - Monday, July 7 thru Friday July 11 Athletic Adventure Day Camp - Monday, July 14 thru Friday, July 18 Super Seaside Safari Day Camp - Monday, July 21 thru Friday, July 25 The Great Expedition Day Camp - Monday, July 28 thru Friday, August 1 Pirate Adventures Day Camp - Monday, August 4 thru Friday, August 8 .Our Little Explorer Day Camp program is designed to help younger children get acclimated to being away from home and spending time with other children! Our goal is to have so much fun and learn so much the campers will want return to camp for years to come. Each week coincides with a resident camp week and the theme for both will be the same. For an explanation of the weekly theme, please click here to see the description of the coinciding Resident Camp. The only difference will be that the day campers program will be scaled back so the activities fit their developmental level. Little Scampers day campers follow a schedule designed just for them and stay together as a group. Our day campers have a cabin to call home in which they spend rest time and do various activities. At least two staff members work with day campers at all times and a ratio of one staff member for every six children will be maintained. Weather permitting day campers always have the opportunity to ride in our horseback riding program as well as swim each day. Camper arrive daily at 8 a.m.and stay with us until 5:30 p.m., except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 p.m Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available to day campers. We will offer five weeks of Little Explorers Day Camp during the summer of 2008. |
| Day Dreamin Day Camp Ages 8 to 14 * $200 June 30 thru July 4 This day camp is designed for children who do not want to stay overnight, or are unable to because of other commitments. Many children have commitments during the summer months like sports, band, or what not, and miss out on the opportunity of their life time. The benefits that a camping experience has to offer a child are unmeasurable and we believe that every child should have the opportunity to gain those benefits. So with those things in mind we created Day Dreamin Day camp. Our activities don't change just because this is day camp. Campers will be able to participate in the exact same activities as their resident camp counterparts. One of the added benefits of this week is the fact that the campers will choose the TCAs they do each day Each morning campers will be given the option of the activities they would like to do. This camp provides both a great first time camping experience without the concerns of staying away from home and the chance for a very busy young person to relax and have fun at camp and keep other obligations. Camper arrive daily at 8 a.m.and stay with us until 5:30 p.m., except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 p.m Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available to this program |
