Whether your child is a little too young to spend the night at camp or too busy to be away from home for an entire week, we have a great opportunity for them. Our day camps are designed to help younger children get acclimated to being away from home and give the very busy child a chance to enjoy their summer vacation! Day campers are able to participate in all the amazing activities and enjoy the fun moments that resident campers do but go home to the comfort of their family and warmth of their own bed each night. Day Campers participate in a variety of camp activities developed to fit the developmental level of the specific group of campers taking part. Each week campers enjoy all the wonders that camp has to offer through activities such as swimming, horseback riding, sports and games,etc. These activities are spiced up with a new and exciting theme each week. Campers might do crafts each day all summer long, but they will have different activities in their arts session based on the theme of the particular week. For example, they might make cardboard boats and have races on the lake during "Wet and Wild" week but during "The Great Camp Out" week they might learn how to make candles in the sand. So much fun will be had the campers will want to return to camp for years to come. Below you will find descriptions for each day camp program |

| Sample Daily Schedule Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. | Crazy for Camp Day Camp - Junior 6/29/09 - 7/3/09 5-7 years old * $200 This Day Camp is designed to help younger children get acclimated to being away from home while enjoying all of the great activities camp has to offer in their purest form! Sometimes we over do it with themes and frills, so this week we will enjoy as many activities as possible just like they were originally designed. Some activities to be offered are arts and crafts, drama, nature, swimming, climbing tower, water trampoline, canoing, sports/games and much more. Horseback riding will be limited during this session. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available during day camp. |
| Crazy for Camp Day Camp - Senior 6/29/09 - 7/3/09 8-14 years old * $200 Campers will enjoy all of the excitement of resident camp without the worry of staying overnight. This camp makes great camp experience by providing awesome activities and the chance to make great new friends. As a group each morning, campers decide on the activities they would like to participate in for the day. This allows them to do the activities they enjoy several times over the course of the week as well as try activities they might be a little apprehensive about without the concern of being "stuck" in the same session all week. Horseback riding is limited during this session. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available during day camp. |
| Camp Kidwell Krash Course Day Camp 7/6/09 - 7/10/09 4-6 years old * $200 New for 2009, this camp gives a younger group of children, ages 4 to 6, the chance to attend camp. All of our day camp's are designed to help children get acclimated to being away from home while enjoying the greatness of camp! This one is no different but features a special chance for the campers to enjoy a wider range of activities. During our regular day camps, campers participate in the same 3 or 4 activities each day and focus on developing skills throughout the week. During "Camp Kidwell Krash Course Day Camp" campers will be able to try a variety of activities and hopefully find some they really enjoy so they have even more reason to return next week and/or next summer. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available during day camp. |
| Wet & Wild Day Camp 7/13/09 - 7/17/09 5-7 year olds * $200 Splish-Splash the day away during this great day camp. Day Campers will work with our horses and swim every day as well as participate in a variety of other camp activities such as arts and crafts, drama, nature, sports/games, and much more. Whether it is swimming, canoing, fishing, riding the pontoon boat, jumping on the water trampoline or doing activities such as water balloon fights, the giant slip and slide or water rockets there will be a water related activity for everyone to enjoy. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available during day camp. |
| Athletic All-Stars Day Camp 7/20/09 - 7/24/09 5-7 years old * $200 4-H Camp Kidwell becomes a sports crazy campers dreamland for this camp. Day Campers will work with our horses and swim every day as well as participate in a variety of other camp activities such as arts and crafts, drama, nature, sports/games, and much more. Extra time participating in a wide variety of sports, including football, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, kickball, tetherball, Gau Gau, four-square, and much more make this camp special. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily. Focus areas are NOT available during day camp |
| The Great Camp Out Day Camp 7/27/09 - 7/31/09 5-7 year olds * $200 Campers who love to explore and don't mind getting their hands dirty will love this week of camp. Day Campers will work with our horses and swim every day as well as participate in a variety of other camp activities such as arts and crafts, drama, nature, sports/games, and much more. This camp is perfect for the child who enjoys time exploring the nature trails, digging through rotting logs for slugs, identifying animals and plants or examining all of our amazing wildlife. Campers will also get the chance to learn how to build campfires and natural shelters. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm. | Jolly Rogers Pirate Adventure Day Camp 8/3/09 - 8/7/09 5-7 years old * $200 Pirates walk the plank, and sail the high seas for this week at Camp Kidwell. Day Campers will work with our horses and swim every day as well as participate in a variety of other camp activities such as arts and crafts, drama, nature, sports/games, and much more. Not only will there be a treasure chest full of pirate mystery, but campers are encouraged to join the fun with their favorite costume. Everyone will sing pirate songs, look for lost treasures, and maybe even sink a ship or two. Campers arrive daily at 8 am and depart at 5:30 pm, except on Friday's when pick up is at 2 pm.
